The Southwest Florida Regional Technology Partnership selected Lee Memorial Health System and Interactyx Limited for top recognition at its fourth annual technology awards program Thursday, May 17.
Lee Memorial Health System was honored in the “Transformation” category for its development and implementation of system-wide electronic health records (EHR). The system is designed to increase quality of care while reducing costs. The other finalist in this category was the Lee County Office of Sustainability for its web-based Sustainability Assessment.
Interactyx Limited of Bonita Springs was honored in the “Innovention” category for its TOPYX® learning management system. The other finalists in this category were dESCO LLC of Fort Myers for its service management suite; and VizMarket of Bonita Springs, for its intensive mobile, interactive market information system for businesses in Southwest Florida.
A third award, for “Partnership,” was presented to SWFRTP charter board member Bruce Prezzavento, owner of Synthetic Intelligence, for his work organizing this year’s FGCU Software Lecture series, and for designing a new, lower-cost membership system. Finalists in this category were SWFRTP program chair Stephen Craig and board member and awards event organizer Warren Baucom of the Fort Myers Regional Partnership.
The Awards Ceremony is Southwest Florida's longest-running, high-profile "excellence in technology" event. This year’s keynote Speaker was Steve Conley, Director of IT for the Boston Red Sox, who explained the advanced technology infrastructure at JetBlue Park.
The Southwest Florida Regional Technology Partnership, a member of Lee County’s Horizon Council, is the only organization dedicated solely to promoting the growth of the technology sector in Southwest Florida.
